Dewayne "Tiny" Morris

Mr. Dewayne “Tiny” Morris, 69, of Acworth, GA passed away July 20, 2017. Dewayne was born on January 8, 1948 in Pea Ridge, AL to the late Royce and Frances Morris. He enjoyed a career with the Cobb County Fire Department spanning over 30 years. He was also the owner of Splattermore Paint Company. Dewayne was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. He played the banjo and sang in the gospel group The Servers for 18 years. Dewayne will be remembered for his honesty and the love he showed his family and friends. He truly lived by the “love God and love others” Bible teaching. Dewayne will be deeply missed by so many. Dewayne is survived by his wife of 50 loving years, Linda Morris; son, Keith Morris (Julie); daughter, Lawayna Baker (Steve); grandchildren, Ali Baker, Zack Baker, Ben Morris and Adrienne Morris; brother, Doug Morris (Carolyn); and sisters, Lou McCullough (Charles) and Ninna Gamble (Kenneth); along with a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Hillcrest Baptist Church at 2:00pm, 6069 Woodstock Rd, Acworth, GA 30102. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park, Marietta. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 22, 2017 from 5-9pm in the chapel at Woodstock Funeral Home, Woodstock, GA.
