Diane Patricia Vaicius

Diane was born on April 4, 1952, in Dorchester, Massachusetts, to Mr. John Johnson and Mrs. Marie Holman Johnson. She attended South Boston High School.

Diane was devoted to her family. After marrying the love of her life, Anthony ‘Tony’ Vaicius, she became a loyal Navy wife. She supported his career as they traveled throughout the United States. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and enjoyed every moment spent with them.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Johnson; sister, Marie Schalmo; and brothers, John Johnson, Robert Johnson, and Tommy Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony Vaicius of Canton, GA; daughter, Susan Vaicius Martin and son in law Wesley Martin of Woodstock, GA , son, Christian Vaicius and daughter in Law Julie Eustis Vaicius of New Orleans, LA; grandchildren, William (Liam) and Wesley A. (Pete) Martin of Woodstock, GA, Lucy and James Vaicius of New Orleans, LA; sister, Ruth O’Rourke of Lewes DE; brother, James Johnson of Norton, MA; sisters-in-law, Joan Johnson of Naples, FL, Donna Johnson of Norton, MA, Peggy Schnichels of Orlando, FL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society ( ) in Diane’s honor.
