Dixie Dan Mills

Dixie was born on June 10, 1948, the only child of Robert L (R.L.) Ormon and Pauline Long Ormon. She grew up in Lorenzo, TX, and after high school, she attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX, majoring in Early Child Development. During her time at Texas Tech, she met her future husband, Stephen, who was in U.S.Air Force pilot training at Reese AFB, TX. They married in 1972.

Dixie was loved by everyone who knew her. She played the piano and was always working on raising her two boys, but her forte was interior decorating, which she constantly used in the various places where she and Steve lived.

Dixie was preceded in death by both parents. She is survived by her husband, Stephen W. Mills, sons Stephen D (Dan) Mills, and Samuel L Mills, all from Woodstock, GA, and a granddaughter, Zora Mills, from Mansfield, OH, as well as many cousins.
