Dixie Smith

Mrs. Dixie Roberta Smith, 75, of Woodstock, GA passed away July 5, 2015. She was born on October 17, 1939 in Lexington, MO to the late Silvia and Joseph Mizell. After graduating from Ray Town High School, Dixie married and started her family. She was a very loving and devoted wife and mother. Dixie was very involved with the Women’s Ministry at Fellowship Bible Church for many years. She was also a member of the Athens Boat Club and enjoyed spending time at Lake Lanier. Dixie leaves behind her beloved husband, Norman Smith, son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Lisha Smith of Woodstock, GA, grandson, Jordan Smith and brothers, Joseph Mizell of Marietta, GA and Carl Mizell of Boise, ID. A funeral service will be on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 3:30pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 6-9pm at the funeral home.
