

Donald Franklin Brown, a loving father, devoted husband, proud grandfather, and man of strong Christian faith, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026, surrounded by his loved ones. He leaves behind a legacy of service, compassion, and unwavering devotion to his family and beliefs.
Donald married his high school sweetheart, and love of his life, Brenda Joyce Chambers, on July 21, 1968. Their strong and enduring marriage was built on commitment, partnership, and deep love, serving as the cornerstone of their family for many years.
He was a proud and dedicated father to his daughter, Krishna Nicole (John) Becker, and his son, Kristan Michael Brown. Donald found great joy in his role as a father and took pride in the lives his children built. He was also a cherished grandfather to Brelyn Michaela White and Grayson Alexander White, who brought him immense happiness and whom he loved deeply.
Donald served his country with honor in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, demonstrating courage and commitment at a pivotal time in history. Following his military service, he continued his dedication to others through a distinguished career with the Marietta Police Department, where he served faithfully from 1979 to 1998, protecting and supporting his community.
Following his years in law enforcement, Donald worked for Lockheed Martin until his retirement in January 2016, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and commitment.
A man of deep and abiding Christian faith, Donald lived his life guided by his beliefs, showing kindness, humility and strength in all he did. His faith was the guiding force in his life, offering comfort and guidance to him and those around him.
Donald will be remembered as a loving father, a devoted husband, and a man of integrity who gave selflessly to his family, his community, and his country. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A life so richly lived leaves a lasting imprint, and Donald’s legacy of love and service will never be forgotten.
