Donna Jean Wehunt

After graduation, Donna worked as an associate for Robb and Associates of Hollywood, CA. She traveled the US for 2 years. She moved to FL in 1957 and worked for RCA at Patrick AF Base, FL.

In 1957, she married Ronald Dean Schinzel, in Melbourne, Florida. Later that year they moved to Atlanta, Georgia for Ron to attend Southern Tech to become a civil engineer. To this union 3 children were born: Kim Marie in 1958, Dixie Lea in 1959 and Jeffrey Jay in 1965.

Outside the home, Donna was a very successful Avon Lady for 22 years in the Lilburn, GA area. She earned a dozen "Mrs. Albee" (First Avon Lady) Presidential Awards and Figurines.

Later Donna married Donald Wehunt. They sold two homes and bought an RV and travelled to forty-nine states in the following eight years. They retired to the Courtyards at Townelake in Woodstock, GA in 2002.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Donald J. Wehunt; her daughters, Kim Davis and Dixie Dugan (Steve); her son, Jeff Schinzel; her granddaughters, Casey and Le Anne Davis; and her grandson, Alex Schinzel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Virginia Tomasevicz; her brothers, Richard "Dick" and Dennis Tomasevicz.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 12:00pm in the Chapel of Poole Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at Poole Funeral Home from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.
