Dorothy was the first born of 15 children to the late William O. Donahue and Florence L. Adams Donahue of Bellaire, Ohio. Known as Dot, Mom, Mommom, and many other adoring names. Dot and her late husband Vincent J. Tedeschi, Sr. raised six children and enjoyed 62 years of a loving marriage. She devoted the past 50 years to her special needs daughter Leslie, who passed away in February of 2022. Dot and Leslie were well known at her granddaughter’s salon, Challise and Company, and loved by all who met them. We are at peace knowing they have reunited in Heaven.
Dot enjoyed spending time with family and friends and smiles were never in short supply when she was around. She loved sitting in the morning with her cup of coffee watching the birds flock to the bird feeders on the back porch. Her favorite of all were the cardinals. Dot loved bright, but soft, cheerful colors. We will honor this by not wearing black to her Funeral Mass.
Dot’s family has received so many loving wishes from those who knew her describing her as a Beautiful, Wonderful, Sweet, Kind, and Incredible Lady. Always Cheerful, an Amazing Shining Light, and always Lovely and Stylish. Her family couldn't have said it any better!
Dot’s favorite saying was “Love you Darlin”
Dot is survived by her five adoring children Tina Hughes (John) of Marietta, GA, Susan McPherson (John "Mac") of Mesquite, NV, Vincent "Vince" Tedeschi Jr. (Misty) of Holly Springs, GA, Timothy “Tim” Tedeschi (Marjorie) of Woodstock, GA and Camela "Cammie" Tedeschi Misencik of Canton, GA. Her loving (14) grandchildren, (15) great grandchildren and (1) great great grandson. Four brothers, Gerald "Jerry" Donahue of Canton, OH, John "Jack" Donahue of Colerain, OH, Richard "Dick" Donahue of Columbus, OH, and Michael "Mike" Donahue of Bridgeport, OH. Five sisters, Mary Jane Vasey, Sandra Bass, Paula St. John, and Cheryl Boston all of Bellaire, OH, and Elizabeth "Betty" Cope of St. Clairsville, OH.
In addition to being preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter are her five brothers Bernard "Bud" Donahue, William "Bill" Donahue, James "Biddy" Donahue, Harold "Buzzy" Donahue, and Thomas "Tom" Donahue.
