Edward Dale Childers

Mr. Edward Dale Childers age 81 of Woodstock, Georgia passed away November 16, 2016. He was born in Sparta, NC to the late William and Ida Childers. He entered the Air Force at an early age, he was an E-7 M/Sgt working with Flight Simulators and retired after 20 years. He loved to hunt, fish and watch sports. Two of his favorite teams were the Pittsburg Steelers and Georgia Bulldogs. He was a strong quiet man that loved his family and friends. Mr. Childers was devoted Christian with a servants heart. He was preceded in death by his son, Keith Childers and grandson, Taylor David Ortman. Ed leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Shelby Childers, daughter, Sherry Childers son, Johnny Childers, brother, William Childers and sister, Ola Mae Aten. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. He will be laid to rest at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
