Mr. Edward J. Nesnick, 90, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away Jan. 17, 2019. Edward was born on Dec. 12, 1928 in Yonkers, New York. At a young age, he joined the United States Navy. He honorably served during the Korean War and Vietnam. Edward’s greatest accomplishment and the source of his pride and joy were his wife and seven children. He also enjoyed a long career with American Beverage Company and retired from Coca-Cola. He was an avid farmer and grew his own grapes to make wine. He enjoyed hunting and loved his TransAms. He will be remembered as kind hearted, full of patriotism, a hard worker and a man who instilled the importance of family values into his children. Edward leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Carmen Nesnick; sons, Michal Nesnick (Sharity), Anthony Nesnick (JoAnn) and John Nesnick (Alyson); daughters, Rosanna Dugan (Timothy), Gail Melamed (Joel) and Karen Nesnick; grandchildren, Sean (Melissa), Ryan, Scott, Andrew, Kristen (Will), Orlin, Carmen, Eddie III, Hunter, Kelsey, Jaeda, Brianna and Nickalus; great-granddaughter, Anastasia; and brother, Anthony Nesnick. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward Nesnick, Jr; parents, Edward and Helen Nesnick; and brother, Robert Nesnick. The family will receive friends on Monday, Jan. 21, 2019 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main St., Woodstock, GA 30188. A funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 490 Arnold Mill Road, Woodstock, GA 30188. Interment with military honors will follow at Cherokee Memorial Park.
