Eileen F. Dunne

Mrs. Eileen Francis Dunne (Martin) age 76 departed this life Wednesday August 30, 2023. Eileen was born in Hoboken, NJ to her parents, Thomas and Marie Martin, and was a long time resident of Edison, NJ before joining family in Acworth, GA. Eileen earned her Bachelors Degree from the College of St. Elizabeth at Convent Station, NJ and her Masters degree from New York University. She was a Registered Dietician, an accomplished published researcher, and the Head Renal Dietician of Island Rehabilitation Services on Staten Island, NY for over 30 years. Eileen was married to the love of her life the late Joseph Dunne for 45 years. Eileen was a loving mother, grandmother and proud dog mom to Bailey Dunne. Eileen loved iced black coffee, was passionate about gingerbread men, and loved to travel. She touched many lives on Earth and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Eileen is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Marie Martin and her sister, Patricia Stengle.

Eileen is survived by her four children: Thomas Martin Dunne, Brendan Dunne (Becca), Timothy Patrick Dunne (Jaime Lynne) and Caitrin Dunne; fraternal twin-sister Michaele Eichamer; brothers-in-law, Paul Eichamer and William Stengle; and five grandchildren, Abigail Giselle Dunne, Brayden Dunne, Charlotte Maria Dunne, Andrew Dunne, Gehrig Thomas Dunne, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday September 4, 2023, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM followed by a Rosary service at 7:00 PM. Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Eileen Francis Dunne will be Tuesday September 5, 2023, at 12 Noon in the chapel. Both events will be held at Poole Funeral Home located at 1970 Eagle Drive, Woodstock GA.
