Elizabeth was one of five children born to the late Arthur Roosevelt Patterson and late Irene Cochran Patterson. She was born in West Virginia and spent time living in various southern states - Texas being one of her favorites. She was proud to be a Texan and enjoyed the people, fields of blue bonnets and environment around her.
Elizabeth was a sweet and funny individual. She was blessed with the confidence and faith to hold to her convictions and all other opinions as well. She enjoyed being outdoors and found peace working in her yard. Although she enjoyed being close to home, she was able to have a great time traveling to Jamaica on vacation in her later years.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack Brinson Hight I; parents, Arthur and Irene Patterson; brothers, Herman Patterson and Ovid Patterson; and sisters, Dorla Morris and Wilma Williams.
Her memory will be cherished by her children, Jack Hight II (Michelle) of Ballground, Georgia, Donald Hight (Peggy) of Powder Springs, Georgia, Stephen Hight (Pamela) of Canton, Georgia and Patricia Sumpter (Brett) of Ballground, Georgia; sister in law, Clarice Hight; grandchildren, Megan, Alicia, Jack III, Garrett and Trevor; great-grandchildren, Colton, Case, Madeline and Elizabeth; and nieces Margaret Russell (Bill) and Melissa Morris.
