Emily Kellett Grund

Emily was born on July 12, 1977, in Austell Georgia to Margie Smith Kellett and Roy C. Kellett, III. She was raised in Cobb County and attended Harrison High School. Emily obtained degrees from Young Harris College, University of Georgia, Kennesaw State University, and was a member of the Phi Delta Sorority. Emily loved her career as an Educator. She taught for 12 years at St. Joseph’s Catholic School in general education, after which she specialized in the education of children with Autism in the public-school sector. She received her master’s degree in education administration last year and was looking forward to what might come next in her career.

Emily is survived by her son, Tyler Josef Grund; her parents and stepparents Roy C. Kellett III and spouse Charlotte Kellett, Margie Smith Kellett and spouse John Fiely; her sister and brother Chantal Kellett Fowler, and Roy C. Kellett, IV and their spouses Mitchell Fowler and Amy Kellett; nieces and nephews Paige, Jase, Ari, Austin and Alexis, as well as her former husband Matthew. We would also like to acknowledge her two closest friends Katy and Lauren.

A Visitation for Emily’s family and friends will be held between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Monday August 24th at the Woodstock Funeral Home, Inc. at 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia 30081. The funeral Mass will be held at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 87 Lacy Street, NW, Marietta, GA 30060 on August 25th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the College Park Cemetery.
