Gabriel Gonzalo Escandon

On Tuesday, January 9th, 2024, Gabriel Gonzalo Escandon Arizaleta went to be with Jesus, three days before his 18th birthday. Gabriel was born on January 12, 2006, in Atlanta to parents Camilo Escandon and Yhaimar Arizaleta. He was an honor student and varsity soccer player at Alan C. Pope High School in his senior year. Gabriel was expected to graduate on May 22, 2024. He was known for his sense of humor, his infectious smile, and his compassionate heart. Gabriel cherished family and friends; he managed to make time for everyone. He was loved by his teachers, teammates and classmates. Gabriel greatly enjoyed playing soccer, pickleball and golf. Most recently, he worked at Dicks Sporting Goods, which was one of his favorite stores. He enjoyed all ranges of music, from Christian worship, hip-hop, and country, to latin rhythms embracing his Venezuelan and Colombian heritage. Gabriel also had a strong relationship with Jesus Christ and loved sharing his faith. Gabriel is survived by his loving parents Camilo and Yhaimar and his brothers David, Wiley, Beckham, Tucker and Simn. He is also survived by his step-parents Matthew and Mara Isabel and his beloved grandparents Jose, Yhaira and Ceila. El pasado martes 9 de Enero de 2024, tres das antes de su dcimo octavo cumpleaos, nuestro amado Gabriel "Gabe" Gonzalo Escandon Arizaleta vlo a reunirse con Jesus, el Divino Maestro. Haba nacido el 12 de Enero de 2006, en Atlanta, Georgia USA, y fueron sus padres Camilo Escandon y Yhaimar Arizaleta. En toda su brillante trayectoria estudiantil, cumpli siempre con honores, tanto en sus escuelas elemental, intermedia y secundaria estas ltimas en "Hightower Trail Middle School" y "Allan C. Pope High School" donde culminaba su ltimo ao, con su prevista graduacin el 22 de Mayo del 2024. Mostr a todos un elevado sentido del humor, una contagiosa sonrisa y un corazn compasivo; gozando siempre del aprecio de familiars y amigos. Gabriel brind el tiempo justo y necesario a todos aquellos que le rodeaban; extendido a sus profesores y compaeros de clases.Desde nio sobresali por un gran talento y espritu deportivos, especialmente en futbol, pickleball y golf, siendo adems un experto en el primero de ellos. En sus recientes horas libres trabajaba en una afamada tienda deportiva de la cual fuera antes un cliente frecuente. Gabriel era gran aficionado al buen cine y msica, y disfrutaba de todas sus manifestaciones y estilos desde melodias cristianas, hip-hop y country; hasta los ritmos latinos propios de sus herencias colombianas y venezolanas. Fue siempre un ferviente creyente en Cristo y sus mandatos, y le encantaba compartir esa f. Le sobreviven ahora sus amados padres Camilo y Yhaimar, sus hermanos David, Wiley, Beckham, Tucker y Simn; as como sus padrastros Matthew y Mara Isabel; y sus abuelos Ceila, Jose Francisco y Yhaira. Pedimos ahora unirse a nosotros para recordar la vida feliz, hermosa, impactante y brillante que vivi Gabriel para honrar a Dios.
