Garry Lee Hofecker

Memorial services will be conducted by brother-in-law, Rev. John A. Toth, of Michigan, at 2 p.m. at Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel, September 9, 2012. Mr. Hofecker was born June 10, 1945 to the late Melvin F., Sr. and Helen Friewald Hofecker in Johnstown, PA. Mr. Hofecker was a graduate of Richland High School, Johnstown, PA., Class of 1963 and Electronics Institute, Pittsburgh, PA., 1965. He also obtained his BS in Computer Engineering Technology from Southern College of Technology, Marietta, GA in 1988. He served his country in the Air National Guard as Sergeant and Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, having served in Vietnam in 1968-1969.

Mr. Hofecker moved to Georgia in 1976. He enjoyed bowling for the past 30 years. He loved traveling with his wife, having visited 49 states and 55 countries. He retired from IBM, Atlanta in 2006.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years. Judith (Leighty) Hofecker, Woodstock, GA., two brothers, Melvin Hofecker, Jr. Johnstown, PA., and Raymond Hofecker, LaPorte, IN; numerous brothers and sisters-in-laws, nieces and nephews in AL, GA, IN, MI, an PA.
