

Gayle Dorothy Binford, a beacon of love and warmth in the lives of those who knew her, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family in Acworth, Georgia. Born on April 15, 1940, in Superior, Wisconsin, Gayle's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit of kindness and a passion for the simple pleasures that painted her world with joy.
Gayle, as she was affectionately known by her friends and family, was the beloved wife of Gene Binford, with whom she shared a beautiful tapestry of memories woven through the years. Together, they raised a family that became Gayle's pride and joy. Her daughters, Rebecca, Debby, and Jennifer, her son Joel Binford who preceded her in death, and her loving parents, Fred and Dorothy Dahlberg, who also predeceased her, all held special places in her heart. Gayle's life was further enriched by the bonds she shared with her sister, Karen, her brothers, Mark and Dean Dahlberg, who have passed on before her, her cherished sister-in-law Marlene, and brother-in-law Ken.
Gayle's legacy is carried on through her adoring grandchildren—Dean, Hannah, Joy, Logan, Brady, and Addison—and her treasured great-grandchildren, Henry, Abigail, Gracelyn, Carver, and Everly. Her role as a matriarch was one she embraced with a full heart, will continue to resonate in the lives of her family, including several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
As a dedicated homemaker, Gayle's nurturing touch transformed her household into a sanctuary of comfort and love. Her ability to create a warm and inviting home was just one of the many talents she possessed. Gayle's interests reflected her love for nature and sports. She was an avid fisherwoman, finding peace and solitude on a rowboat or by the water's edge. Her gardens were a variety of color, a testament to her skill with flowers and vegetables her “Big Boy” tomatoes were her pride and joy in the summer. Bird watching provided her with endless delight, as she marveled at the grace of her feathered friends.
Gayle's enthusiasm for sports was infectious. She was a devoted fan of the Braves baseball team and the Packers football team, her loyalty never wavering through the seasons. Her passion for her teams was paralleled only by the passion she brought to every aspect of her life.
Described by those who knew her as loving, thoughtful, and generous, Gayle embodied the very essence of these words. Her compassion and faith in the Lord knew no bounds, and she approached every person and every situation with a genuine desire to make a positive impact. Gayle's legacy is not only in the family she raised or the interests she pursued but also in the countless lives she touched with her faithful heart. Her faith in the Lord was exceptional.
