Gek Whoay Yeoh

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gek Whoay Yeoh on May 4th, 2023, at the age of 79. Gek was born in Penang, Malaysia and spent her life devoted to her family and loved ones.

Gek was a devoted wife to her husband, and a loving mother to her children. She was also a doting grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished every moment spent with her family. Gek's love knew no bounds, and she constantly put the needs of others before her own.

Gek was the glue that held our household together. Despite her kind and compassionate nature, Gek was also known for her strength and bullheadedness. Her presence was one that could not be ignored. Although she was a quiet and unassuming person, her impact on those around her was profound. Gek's legacy will live on through the memories she created with her loved ones. We will forever cherish the moments we shared with her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her dedication to her family, Gek had a passion for gardening and cooking. She found solace in tending to her plants and was always eager to try out new recipes in the kitchen. Her love for cooking was evident in the delicious meals she prepared for her family and friends, especially when it came to Malaysian cuisine. Gek was also a lifelong learner, always eager to expand her knowledge and skills. She had a curious mind and was constantly seeking to learn new things, whether it was learning to read and write English, a new gardening technique, or a new craft.

Gek's zest for life and her passion for learning will always be remembered by those who knew her. She was a truly remarkable woman who touched the lives of many, and her presence in our lives will be deeply missed.

Gek, you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
