George Benson

Tommy was a Father, Grandfather, Great- Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Cousin. Since the death of his wife Barbara he lived with his daughter and son in law. He spent his time reading his Bible, listening to preaching and gospel music. He really enjoyed the time he had with his great- grandchildren, hanging out with the neighborhood kids which he said kept him young, having fun going different places to eat all types of food and thrifting. Tommy was always a musician at heart, sharing stories of his glory days telling everyone who he got to meet when in Nashville.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Barbara Meeks Benson, mother Audrey Benson, father George H. Benson, grandparents Annie and Tom Poole, and brother Buddy Benson.

He is survived by his daughter Renee Sellers (Mark), son Tom Jr, grandchildren Afton Baker (Chris), Blake Benson (Cory) and Brooke Benson, great-grandchildren Abigail, Cooper, Ella, Finley and Maddox, sister Ann and brother John.

We will miss your jokes, your singing around the house and watching college football together.
