Herold was like a father to me. He was always there when I needed to talk and it didn’t matter where he was or what he was doing he alway took the time to listen. I moved in next door to Herold and Ida on March, 06 2002. We were very close for almost two decades and spoke almost daily about politics, families, and life. He was always kind, generous, and outstanding person. I will miss him so very very much! The only thing that eases my pain is that I am certain he is in heaven looking down on us all. He loved all of his family and talked about them all the time. I know he wants all of us to remember the great man that he was and rejoice for he is in a better place and out of pain and happy until we meet again. I just hope that I myself can one day be as great a man as he was. I never got to tell you this face to face but I love you so so much and thank you for all you did for me!
