Just before graduation from high school, I wondered what I was going to do after I graduated. Then Mother told me that she was going to send me to Sonny, so that he can help me further my education.
He helped me by cosigning a school loan for me, and there is where my life started as an adult -- I was nineteen. I believe God used Sonny to bless me in many ways.

Thank you, Sonny for being a great help--I miss you.

Uncle Sonny, with all the big and little things that you did without fanfare, you made a lot lives better (probably more than you ever realized). I for one know that my life was forever impacted and bettered, and for that I'm forever grateful and will forever honor you. I only wished I had said that to you earlier. Love, your niece Debbi
P.S. - you are still the best storyteller I ever knew and I get to carry bits of the family history because of you.

In this very moment of pain & darkness I thank you God for bringing Ira my way. Many wonderful memories we created for the time we had. Every sunrise and sunset brings memories of what we shared. Thank you everyone that shared their time, resources, love and kindness when he needed it most. As I reflect on Ira, I am reminded to spread love, kindness and good to others; to forgive and embrace all; to not sweat over little things in life; to live, love and laugh.
For now I am looking for that rainbow in the storm, asking heavens to hug our children and as we wait for the sun to rise. Rest Ira , love you and will always carry you in my heart. You will never be forgotten!

Beloved Ira, I am so grateful that God brought us back together after such a long estrangement. I got a chance to share, laugh, and just be in your presence. Who knows, life may allow me to stop by Shambala for a visit. However, until we meet again, I love you Beloved brother and I know that even now you are experiencing the Blessings of Life you knew not of....Beauty.

My brother Sonny. I have always loved you even when we didn’t see eye to eye. You have been an inspiration in many ways. Thank you for doing your best in your attempts to squash squabbles and present a close knit family. You are a man of class and have demonstrated Christ like qualities by your actions. Though others may disagree the good thing is they are not the final Judge. In the twilight of life you are surrounded by your Creator. For that and much more I am thankful. ❤️ Erica
