Jack Edward Alwood

Mr. Alwood was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on January 24, 1939, the son of the late Roy Alwood and the late Pauline Boone Alwood. He worked for 20 years for Volkswagen of America. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert (Bob) Alwood.

Jack graduated from Kindley Memorial High School in 1957. He then joined the Air Force and served our country for 4 years, returning home in 1961. Jack enjoyed golf, car racing, and woodworking.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jean Alwood and his sister Shirley York. Also left to carry on his memory are his daughter Denise Corley (Paul), and his son Dan Alwood (Valerie). His grandchildren Kristal Vinson (Johnny), Brianna Alwood (Jonathon), Chase Corley (Rebekah) and Chad Corley (Emily) and six great grandchildren, Saige Corley, Hazel Corley, Jayda Corley, Walker Corley, Brooks Corley and Phoebe Truax.

A memorial service will be held for Mr. Jack Alwood on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023 at 2pm at Poole Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randall Whitten officiating. A reception will follow at the funeral home.
