Jack M. Crawford

Mr. Jack M. Crawford, 88, of Woodstock, GA passed away April 17, 2014. He was born on July 21, 1925 in Rocky Face, GA to the late Hubert H. and Nettie Reed Crawford. Jack served honorably in the United States Army during World War II. After a career as a fire fighter in Highland Park, MI Jack retired with his family to Rocky Face, GA. Jack was a dependable man and worked hard to provide for his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Hinkle Crawford and four siblings: Rosa Callaway, Billy Crawford, Dot Kitchings and Hazel McDonald. He is survived by daughters, Jacki Hawkins and Cheryl Crawford. Also surviving are son-in-law, Al Hawkins and grandsons, Jace (20 yrs old) and Jackson Jennings (17 yrs old). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the home of Jacki and Al Hawkins. A service will also be held at Peeples Funeral Home, Rocky Face, GA on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jack to the American Stroke Association, 1101 Northchase Parkway, Suite 1, Marietta, GA 30067, www.strokeassociation.org.
