Jaclyn Johanna Orr Aponik passed away on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
Jaclyn was born to Walter Michael Orr and Barbara Jane McKinney Orr on March 3, 1981. She was the youngest of three girls and grew up in the Washington D.C. area. She was part of the graduating class of ’99 from Langley High School and dedicated 15 of her adolescent years into mastering the art of classical ballet. She was blessed with family and friends who encouraged her to enjoy the finer things and to strive for her ideal life.
Jaclyn attended Virginia Tech where she gained the story she loved sharing with others of having sat by the infamous Michael Vic (go Hokies). She was a graduate of Sanford-Brown College and went on to work as a sonographer at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton and later at WellStar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.
Jaclyn is preceded in death by her sister, Jayma. Her memory will be cherished by her husband of 7 years, Anthony “Tony” James Aponik of Canton, Georgia; daughter, Alexandra “Alex” Penwright (11 years old); sons, Trenton Aponik (5 years old) and Ayden Aponik (3 years old); father, Michael Orr and his wife, Kathy, of Aurora, North Carolina; mother, Barbara McKinney Orr of Blue Ridge, Georgia; in laws, Steven “Steve” Aponik and his wife, Patrice, of Woodstock, Georgia; sister, Jennifer Orr of Kansas City, Kansas; nieces, Lauren Edwards and Malory Kruckenberg; nephew, Ian Kruckenberg; aunts, Barbara Morgan and her husband, Homer, of Witchita, Kansas and Virgie McGuire of Tampa, Florida; cousins, Robin, Brook, Shanna, Michael and Steve; and countless friends.
A Celebration of Jaclyn’s Life will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street Woodstock, Georgia 30188 with a visitation one hour prior. Pastor Lynn Eynon will serve as the officiant.
