Jacques Mayer

Jacques Mayer, 87 of Woodstock, GA died October 10, 2014 survived by his son Jacques C. Mayer, Woodstock, Georgia, and Amy E. Gates of Marlton, New Jersey. He married the late Jean Marie Kelly and was married for 61 years. He graduated from The Citadel in 1950 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. Spending a majority of his career with RCA/GE he was a Marketing Director for their Missile Research and Radar Division, Moorestown, New Jersey.

Grandchildren include Brent, Luke and Cade Gates of Marlton, New Jersey and Whitney Mayer, Woodstock, Georgia, Capt. Jacques M. Mayer, Omaha, Nebraska and Travis Mayer, Marietta, Georgia.

Mr. Mayer was an active member of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church serving in their food pantry ministry as well as an active Knights of Columbus member.

A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 11:45 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church 490 Arnold Mill Road Woodstock, Georgia 30188 Father Larry Niese officiating. Inurnment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
