Marrying his wife Kathy on December the 18th, 1969, both stayed affectionate, loving and devoted to each other for 56 years. It is not just a cliche to say he was a truly devoted and deeply loving family man. Year after year, even if in poor health, he attended the family’s reunions, kept close contact with his parents, siblings, nephews and nieces and regularly made time for friends and family whenever he was needed.
Joining the United States Navy out of high school he would spend 17 proud years total in Civil Service to his country. A dynamic and successful salesman of Airborne Ultrasonic equipment, he went on to form 2 small businesses, The Ultrasound Institute and All Leak Detection and Locate. He was incredibly hard working and loved training & mentoring others in his fields of expertise.
James was unapologetically Christian and a usher at his church, First Baptist Church of Woodstock. He will be remembered for his gift of conversation, his selfless devotion to those he loved, his tirelessness in providing for his family, his earnest smile that told anyone approaching that he was truly glad to see them, his willingness to share his knowledge to all who asked, his evident joy when spending time with family and for the example he left behind for all of us of what a life well lived looks like.
