He graduated from Peekskill High School in 1957, and served in the United States Marine Corps until 1963. Jim managed Peterson’s Auto Parts in Mahopac NY for many years, and after his retirement he spent his time enjoying family, sports, travel, and his dogs.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Anne Marie, and his lifelong best friend and fellow US Marine Harold Murphy.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen (Artist), daughter Debi (Tim) Borgelt, sons Timothy (Roberta) and Howie (Kelly) , 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests between 2-4pm and 6-8pm on Sunday April 18th at Woodstock Funeral Home. A memorial Mass will be held at 11am Monday the 19th at St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery at 2:30.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider a donation in Jim’s name to St Vincent DePaul, care of St Michael the archangel.
