James was born on November 23, 1946, in Floyd County Georgia.
Monkey, as he was known by many, was retired from Norfolk & Southern Railroad.
James is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Donna Jo, and his daughter, Robin Bates.
James is survived by his siblings [Nora Hall, Arnold Terry, & Robert Terry,] his children [April Willer, Amber Hite (David), & Robert Scott Terry], his grandchildren, [Joey, Caitlin (Jamie), Alexis, Jacob, & Luke] and his great grandchildren [Alice & Aurora].
His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
A service will be held at Woodstock Funeral Home for friends and family to celebrate his life on Monday, Feb 12, 2024. The family will receive visitors at 1 pm followed by a service at 2 pm in the chapel.
