James “Jim” Vold, age 74, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
Jim was born to the late William Robert Vold and the late Cecile Elizabeth Williams Vold in Lincoln, Nebraska on June 30, 1947. He spent his young life growing up in Nebraska and North Dakota. Jim was a graduate of Lincoln High School.
Jim had served his country as a Naval Radioman for 20 years. He paid his dues submerged in Tridents for months at a time and “qualifying” which was mastering duties of all positions of the ship. He worked his way up to an E-7 ranking and was proud of his earned title as Chief.
Jim’s memory will be cherished by his wife of almost 50 years, Gail Ann Bickford Vold; daughter, Jennifer Anne Linskey (Mike) and their daughter, Isabelle; son, William Kelly Vold (Brandi) and their children, Breanna and Lyric.
