Janet Astrom

Janet Elizabeth Astrom was born to Frank and Margaret Knight in Hamilton, Ontario Canada on September 29th, 1952. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 10th, 2026 in Woodstock, Georgia surrounded by loved ones.

Janet was known first and foremost as a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family. A teacher of over 30 years, she shared her unwaivable love and care for children with the countless young minds she helped grow. Cooking was one way she was known to care for her family, along with trips to the beach where she loved the sounds and sights of the ocean and watching her family play in the sun and sand. Janet was an avid reader and a fan of classic Hallmark movies during the few moments not spent with her children and grandchildren. Her boundless love moved an untold number of lives and she will be remembered fondly for it along with her love of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Margaret Knight.

Janet is survived by her ex-husband, Bruce Wayne; children Bradley (Aimee) Astrom and Alan (Kristin) Astrom; her grandchildren, Taylor, Harper, Everett, and Emerson Astrom; and her siblings Ken and Don Knight.

A memorial service will be held Friday October 16th, 2026 at Woodstock City Church, 150 Ridgewalk Pkwy, Woodstock, GA 30188 beginning at 10:00 AM.

The family invites you to join them for a Celebration of Life Lunch at JD’s on Main, 8634 E Main St, Woodstock, GA 30188 following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, Janet requested donations be contributed to a scholarship fund for middle school students for camp weekends through Woodstock City Church.
