

Janet Marie Woodall, 82, of Acworth, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home on September 1, 2025.Born on June 17, 1943, in Northbridge, Massachusetts, her parents are William James Martis and Geraldine Jane Martis. She was the eldest of five children, she had one sister and three brothers.
Janet was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl W. Woodall, Sr.; her parents, William and Geraldine Martis; her daughter, Vicki Lynn Woodall; and her younger brothers, Marc A. Martis and Charles W. Martis.
She is survived by her brother, Bruce J. Martis of Acworth, GA; her sister, Susan Hewett of Mims, FL; her sons, Carl W. Woodall Jr. and Nickolas Lee Woodall of Acworth, GA; her granddaughter, Amanda L. Woodall, and daughter-in-law, Candice Garrett of Canton, GA; her grandson, Dustin Lee Woodall of Woodstock, GA; Marc Pierce of Rome, GA; and Nevaeh Linder of Woodstock, GA. Janet also had two great-grandchildren, Logan Woodall, 13, of Ball Ground, GA, and Luke Woodall, 8, of Acworth, GA, along with many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. Janet was also the last living aunt among her husband’s seven brothers and sisters.
Janet’s life was defined by her love for her church and her faith community. She was an active and devoted member, finding joy in every service, event, and gathering. She especially admired her pastor, Jordan Runion, whose sermons filled her spirit when he would get all fired up preaching and gave her much to share with loved ones after each service. There was nothing she enjoyed more in life than being with her countless church family who all meant the world to her, offering friendship, fellowship, and care that deeply touched her heart.
Outside of church, Janet enjoyed watching her son, Nickolas, play baseball. She especially loved watching him on the mound, pitching. She spent many years at Hobgood cheering on Nickolas, and his friends that became family.
Janet also enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair on her front porch, enjoyed the wildlife that comes up to feed at her birdfeeders and all the beautiful deer that would visit on a regular basis.
