Janice was an extremely loving mother and devoted herself to her family and raising her children. She loved being a mother, reading, traveling, cooking, her Cocker Spaniels, The Beach Boys music, especially when she was boating at Allatoona Lake with her family. She turned her love of traveling into a successful travel agency, which she ran for years. Janice had a very vibrant personality, an infectious smile and never met a stranger; she lived her life caring for others and loved all. She was a devout Christian. She passed her love for life to her family and friends alike. Those who were lucky enough to have known Janice, will immensely miss her.
Left to cherish her memory is Mike Whitted (Anita Kaplan); her son, Chris Whitted and wife Heather; her daughter, Ashleigh Pierce and husband Brit; her grandchildren, Braden and Ansley; and her brother, Jim Clayton and wife Dawn. With all of God’s Grace, she will join other family and friends already in Heaven, including her mom and dad, Mike’s mom, dad, and brother, and her other grandchildren Caleb and Samuel.
There will be a memorial service, lead by Pastor Johnny Hunt, on Monday, November 2 at 10AM in the Chapel at First Baptist Church of Woodstock, 11905 GA-92, Woodstock, GA 30188. The family will receive guests from 9-9:45AM in the Chapel.
