Jeannette Evelyn Hornsby, age 90, of Rockmart, GA, formerly of Atlanta, passed away July 18, 2013 following an extended illness. Jeanette was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. She worked with the boys at Warren Memorial Boys Club on Burns St in Atlanta for more than 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Warner Hornsby, son, Richard E. Hornsby, parents, Greta and Eugene Freeman, sister, Rita Minnix and brother, Buddy Freeman. Jeanette is survived by sons, Jerry W. Hornsby of Rockmart, GA and Roger W. Hornsby of Woodstock, GA, 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Woodstock Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cartersville, GA. The family will receive friends Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 4 until 8 pm at the funeral home.
