Jeffrey Wane Henson

Jeffrey Henson passed away surrounded by the love and memories of the many people whose lives he touched. Known for his warm personality and generous spirit, Jeffrey truly never met a stranger. He loved life deeply and found his greatest joy in creating memories with family, friends, neighbors, and the many customers who became like family over the years.

Jeffrey is survived by his beloved wife, Sandi Henson; his daughters, Codi Holman and Leisha Smith; his son-in-law, Brad Smith; and his grandson, Tristan Smith. He also leaves behind his sister, Debbie Winchester, and his brother, Mark Henson. Jeffrey was also deeply loved by his furry family members: his beloved cat Lucky, granddog Theo, and grandcat Beavis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Henson; his mother, Margaret Tansy; his brother, Jerry Henson; and his father-in-law, Jerry Smith.

Jeffrey spent many years working in the oil and gas industry, traveling throughout the Northwestern United States before settling in Georgia in 1987. Later, he built lasting relationships in his community through his long-time business, AAA Pool & Spa Service. Known for his kindness and reliability, Jeffrey always showed up for his customers, friends, and neighbors. He was famous for carrying treats for his customers’ dogs and cats—earning their loyalty just as quickly as he did their owners’.

He had a passion for the simple joys in life: road trips, fishing, hunting, bowling, and playing pool. Jeffrey was especially known for making some of the best deer jerky around. He loved good coffee, hot sauce and spicy foods, and could often be found enjoying a vodka and Dr Pepper “tottie” while listening to his favorite music from ZZ Top and Peter Frampton.

Above all, Jeffrey loved his family and friends. His laughter, stories, and generous heart will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Jeffrey’s memory will live on in the countless stories, laughter, and love he leaves behind.
