ORGAN

Jeneanne Williams Organ, age 83, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly of Decatur, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019.

Jeneanne was born to the late George Winfield Williams and Anna Blanche Cole Williams on March 20, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee. She had an older brother, George. During high school, she met the love of her life, Edwin Organ. They married soon after she graduated from Hillsboro High School in Nashville, Tennessee. Their family grew to include two daughters, Leigh and Lynne.

Jeneanne was unique – strong, selfless, devoted, and loved to laugh. Her two biggest passions were her family and any creature on four legs. She welcomed others into her heart and could find humor in any situation.

Jeneanne worked as a court secretary for the United States Bankruptcy Court for 10 years. Music became an important part of her life when she was very young. As a piano teacher for over 20 years, she strongly impacted many young lives. Her students thrived off her energy and many saw her as a mother figure.

Jeneanne not only cared for her family, friends, and students, but also the four-legged animals of the world. She volunteered and worked for many years at the Cherokee County Humane Society. In 2017, she launched her own top-rated, non-profit organization, Care for Needy Paws, Inc.

Jeneanne Williams Organ is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Edwin Organ, and parents, George and Blanche Williams. Her memory will be cherished by her daughters, Leigh Brown of The Woodlands, Texas and Lynne Anderson & her husband, John, of Woodstock, Georgia; brother, George Williams and his wife, Nancy, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, Ricky Brown and his wife, Tiffani; Jaime Bradley and her husband, Tom; Eric Brown and his wife, Katherine; Ryan Anderson, Colin Anderson and his wife, Allie; Elyse Anderson and Annalea Anderson; great-grandchildren, Beau, Drew, Jake, Brooks, Madeleine, and Emilia; and her beloved dogs, Taz, Peanut and Belle. She will also be greatly missed by her countless friends and animals whose lives she impacted.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 1:00PM until 2:00PM at Woodstock Funeral Home 8855 Main Street Woodstock, Georgia 30188. A Celebration Service will follow at 2:00PM with Jeneanne’s son in law, John Anderson, officiating.

Sweet Jeneanne - a bright light in so many lives (people and pets!). From the time I was a little girl, she personified fun and love. I'm still embarrassed about what a bad piano student I was, but she just rolled with it and never made me feel ashamed for not practicing and let me have as many lemon drops as I wanted. Whenever mom and dad announced we were going to Jeneanne and Ed's, we kids were thrilled- all the fun pets and grownups who included us in the merriment were such a blessing. It's no surprise that someone with such a big heart has so many grandchildren and great-grandchildren around to love her back. There will never be another one like her. Love, Catherine

Jeneanne was one of the first people I met when I came to work at the Bankruptcy Court. She was always helpful and kind and LOVED burning her popcorn in the microwave! She told me about the neuter and spay program in Cherokee Co which saved me slot of money with my cats over the years. Rest In Peace Lady. You will be missed!

To Jeneannes family and friends:
I will miss the earthly mom of my youth. I was one of her many piano students that fed off her motherly care of each one of us. I was also adopted by Ed who always seemed to be there at the time of my lesson. Leigh, Lynne, I treasured being your friend and have followed your families on Facebook. I lost my parents at the age of 83. Please take care and remember all her care with a special heart just for Angels.
Love, Yvonne Bledsoe 😥😥
