Mr. Ballentine was a huge influence on me during pivotal times of growth in Troop 638. He was instrumental in my success and achievements. I will forever cherish the time we had in Boy Scouts and hope to achieve the same level of success in influencing the next generation as he did.

Becky, I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your husband, and "Little" Jerry, I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your dad, and grandkid (s) I am so terribly sorry for the loss of your grandpa! None of you knew him long enough, I know, and for that, I grieve for you as well. Jerry was a good man who loved his family with all that he was, and loved the scouts under his watch as well, for so many years. I was witness to his kind ways and teachings within the scouting environ as my son Michael was also under his watch for a time.
We had fun, friend, watching the boys grow into men. Watching your your boy have one of his own. Thank God they had you in their lives, one and all. I pray they can hold your memory in their hearts for the rest of their lives, remembering your laugh, remembering the love you had for them. You will be missed my friend.
