Jerry Drew

He was born Monday, July 5, 1948 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA to Sharon Fletcher Jones and Neil Meyers Drew. Jerry grew up in Washington DC, Wellsboro, PA and Elmira, New York.

Jerry graduated in 1966 from Southside High School in Elmira, NY. After serving in Vietnam 1968-69 as a corporal in the United States Marine Corps, Jerry received an honorable discharge and two Purple Hearts from the USMC. Jerry also served 12 years as VFW commander for the Thomson, Georgia post.

Prior to his retirement in 2010, Jerry worked as an estimator for National Homes & Building Systems and Mays Landscaping. Jerry spent most of his career as a commercial and residential builder for Southland Homes, Brunning & Stang, Colquitt Homes and Orlofskee Homes in Gwinnett County.

Jerry is predeceased in death by his son Neil Drew and granddaughter Kori Penna.

He is survived by wife Sandra Drew, children Kristen Penna (Jason), Michael Thomas Cloke (Maria), Karen Cloke Davis (Chad), Morgan Wolde (Mesfin), Nikki Austin; extended family Dennis Roell and Sergio Sanchez; grandchildren Jeannie Jenkins (Jesse), Monica Rodriguez, Trey Austin, Kyla Gaines (Derrick), Emily Sanchez, Zaylen Roell, Jayden Sanchez, Remy Wolde, Zyanna Roell, Amani Wolde, Levi Wolde; and great grandchildren Magnolia May Jenkins and Asa Jenkins, as well as sister Brenda Draper(Larry).

A memorial service will be held at Woodstock Funeral home on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm, followed by a military burial at Arlington National Cemetery, VA at a later date.
