

Jessie was born on August 21st, 1923 in Cherokee County to her parents Talmadge and Minnie Lee Anglin. She was the 8th of 10 children. She was a lifetime member of Little River United Methodist Church. She was retired from the Cherokee County Public School System where she was a lunchroom manager for many years. She loved gardening, working in her yard and cooking. Her greatest pleasure in life was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 50 years, Howard Goddard, to whom she was married on September 12th, 1944.
Surviving are her daughter Paulette Goddard of Woodstock, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law Pansie and Maurice Moore of Snellville, Georgia; Son and daughter-in-law Bill and Paula Goddard of Woodstock, Georgia; Son, Virgil Bell Goddard of Woodstock, Georgia and Daughter and son-in-law Peggy Lee and Mark Fennell of Rockmart, Georgia; 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Little River United Methodist with Rev. Ken Godfrey officiating. Interment will follow in the Little River United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will accept visitors at the Woodstock Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 from 2 until 9 p.m.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mark Goddard, Matthew Goddard, Michael Goddard, Kevin Moore, Kyle Fennell and Kody Fennell. Honorary pallbeareres will be her great-grandsons Billy, Chase and Tyler Goddard.
