

John was an intelligent and educated man. He began his career as the director of hospital pharmacy at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, NY. After receiving his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky, he moved into new drug development and was known for his extensive knowledge of pharmacology. He held positions at Boots US, ProEthic, Ingenix, and Worldwide Clinical Trials. He retired from Kowa Pharmaceuticals in 2017.
John was a lifelong learner and enjoyed role playing games, trying new foods, collecting books, and DragonCon. He was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and recently celebrated 38 years of sobriety.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Barbara, brother Peter (Betty), and sons Franklin, John (Mariel), and Aaron. No memorial services are planned at this time.
