Johnny Perrin Eck

Johnny was born on December 15, 1959 in Burgaw, NC , son of Sherrill Eck and Joyce Brinkley Eck.

Johnny proudly served his country in the United States Marines and later worked as an electrician, bringing steady hands and practical skill to the work he did and to the people who relied on him.

In his personal life, Johnny found real joy in the simple, lasting pleasures—fishing in fresh water and out on the ocean, tinkering with how things worked, fixing cars, and building what was needed. He enjoyed classic rock music, bon fires and sci-fi shows, and he was someone who knew how to have a good time and always seemed to know where the gathering would be. Many will remember him for the easy way he could turn an ordinary day into something shared—often with a grill going and good company close by.

Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Sherill Eck.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Brinkley Eck; his sons, John (Megan) Eck, Marty Meadows, Misty (Josh) Granados, and Matthew Meadows; his sister, Lisa (Joe) Bourne; and eight grandchildren.

Johnny will be remembered with respect and gratitude, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
