

Joseph was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on July 27, 1952, to Joseph Dee Hicks, Sr and Dolores Fisher. He lived in Woodstock Georgia for the past thirty-seven years. Joe retired from United Parcel Service after thirty-one years of excellence.
Joe was a die-hard University of Tennessee fan, a long – standing member of Branches of Christ Church, and a devoted “Dad” to three daughters, “Papaw” to seven granddaughter's, and "great Papaw” to one great grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Dee Hicks, Sr; and his grandmother, Pearl Stanifer.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Dolores Fisher; daughters, Jennifer Long, Katie Koudele, and Sarah (Justin) Denham; grandchildren, Peyton Long, Brooklyn Long, Wren White, Carson Koudele, Reece Koudele, Riley Denham, and Parker Denham; great grandchild, Walker Bogart; sister, Vanessa (Danny) Shafer; and his nephew, Matthew (Meghan) Shafer.
Services will be Thursday, March 6, 2025. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM and the funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM with Steve Pettit officiating. Services will be at Poole Funeral Home in Woodstock, Georgia.
In honor of Mr. Joseph Hicks, the family asks for donations to be made to the American Diabetes Association and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (on behalf of Grandchildren Parker Denham and Riley Denham).
