Joyce was devoted to her family and found great joy in making dinner for them, gardening, quilting, knitting, and crocheting. Through her church, Johnson Ferry Church, she lovingly created quilts and blankets for people with cancer. She also enjoyed hosting brunches for her Sunday school class, decorating beautiful cakes, and spending time bird watching. A passionate traveler, Joyce explored much of the United States. She never missed an event for her grandchildren and was their biggest supporter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Beulah Phillips; brothers, Ken Phillips, William “Bill” Phillips, and Jewell Phillips; niece, Donna Phillips; nephew, Mark Phillips; and brother-in-law, William "Bill" Dildine.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Dildine; son, Rick (Pamela) Dildine; daughter, Rhonda (Doug) Dildine Stegall; grandchildren, Julia (Scott) Dildine Simonds, and Brooke Stegall; great-grandchildren, Gunner Simonds and Austin Simonds; nephews, Jon (Della) Phillips, Jeff (Jen) Dildine, Jason Dildine, and Jerry Dildine; great-nephew, Matt Dildine; and sisters-in-law, Wilma Phillips and Elaine Dildine.
Her warmth, kindness, and creativity will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
