Joyce A Noblitt

Joyce A. Noblitt, age 89, of Woodstock, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Joyce is survived by her loving husband, Roy Noblitt, of Woodstock, Georgia, her daughter, Rebecca Jo Melton (Hank) of Panama City, Florida, daughter, Nancy Ann Greenway (Ed) of Ball Ground, Georgia, Daniel Roy Noblitt (Vicki) of Jasper, Georgia, Neil Wayne Noblitt (Natalie) of Peoria, Arizona. Also surviving is her brother, Jerry Arnold (Evelyn) of West End, North Carolina. She is Nana to 13 well loved grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She has many adored nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lois J. and Mae Arnold, sisters, Jo Mae Arnold and Judy Calbert.

Joyce was born on September 6th in Greencastle, Indiana, where she had a happy childhood with a loving family and friends. She went to college in Fulton, MO at Williams Woods then later to Indianapolis to take business courses. There she met Roy and they married in 1953. They began their life together in Indianapolis, then later moved to Orlando, Florida where they raised their family.

Joyce was extremely invested in her family and in her church, Pine Hills Christian Church of Orlando. She was a very caring and loving wife and mother. She was a devoted Christian, serving Christ through her love of music, teaching, and leading. She continued to serve in the Christian Church when she and Roy moved to Clermont, Florida, then Franklin, North Carolina in retirement.

Joyce loved the outdoors; some of her favorite activities were horseback riding, swimming and paddling around the lake in her canoe. She also enjoyed spending time at the beach with her family and exploring hiking trails in the Smokey Mountains.

She was loved by her family and friends. Known as a very sweet, caring, and loving wife, mom, Nana, and friend. Her family will greatly miss her.
