I feel blessed that we were able to catch up at the preschool Christmas program while you were watching your granddaughter perform and I was watching my daughter. We shared many great memories on and off the tennis courts in my teenage years. I will never forget the island trips we took...you always knew where to go and how to get there in style! You will be missed.

Tennis is how I met Julie. “Personable” was my first impression. Unfortunately, I did not know her too long but had the privilege of playing with her during her last days of tennis. It was then that I saw what a determined, positive, and strong woman she was. She came to practice even though she had little energy and difficulty breathing. An overhead serve was strenuous to do so out comes “the Julie underhanded slice serve.”
It will always be my memory of her. It was actually better than her real serve. It was then I realized her strength in coping and wishfully conquering her disease. She was not giving up on living! I just feel she has gone to heaven’s green grass tennis courts along with Kenny Rogers! Miss you!

Julie and my former wife were lifelong friends. They grew up on the same street in Pompano Beach, FL. I transferred to Pompano Beach Senior High School at the beginning on my Junior year. She and Pat Minor were instrumental in introducing me to Janice Wohrley, my former wife. After graduating our paths separated. We re-United several years later preparing for our 50th High School reunion. Julie was very helpful shortly after my wife died after being married 45 years. Working for Delta Airlines she frequently visited as my wife’s health declined.

RIP, Julie. To Julie’s family, I’m so very sorry. Julie and I reunited on FB after the 50th PBHS Reunion. Julie was such a happy, positive voice. I know how very proud of her family she was ... especially Rook and her gymnastic accomplishments. Julie will be missed.

Working at Delta for many years brought us together and what a blessing she was to all. Julie was always the most upbeat person and would go out of her way to help anyone . Her cheerful smile and charming personality was delightful to all of her friends and coworkers at Delta but the customers as well. She fought a mighty battle but never lost her belief in God. Rest now in his presences Julie, you will always be remembered for your service and love.

My memories of Julie began through our children, from childhood sweethearts, to a surprise engagement in the Bahamas, to the parents of our two shared precious granddaughters. Julie loved to have fun, and fun times were many! I will always be grateful to her for having given birth to Jim, my wonderful and much loved son-in-law! She will truly be missed by us all, as she was so loved! Rest In Peace, dear Julie!

I loved playing tennis with Julie... her forehand was a force to be reckoned with, and she sliced and diced like a pro. But what I most remember is what fun she was as a partner on the court. She will be missed by all who knew her during her tennis days.
