

Karen Ann Letitia Meucci, 78, of Woodstock, Georgia — formerly of New Britain and West Hartford, Connecticut, and Latrobe, Pennsylvania — passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on November 21, 2025.
Born June 28, 1947, in Hartford, Connecticut, Karen was the cherished daughter of the late Andrew and Helen Letitia. A woman of compassion and grace, she dedicated more than 50 years to her calling as a nurse after graduating from Pulaski High School and St. Francis School of Nursing. Throughout her long career, Karen touched countless lives with her steady hands, kind heart, and calming presence.
Karen shared 55 beautiful years of marriage with her husband and best friend, Joseph (Skip) Meucci. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, love, and adventure—raising their two daughters, Andrea and Jennifer, sailing and boating in their youth, traveling the world side by side, enjoying many cruises, and creating memories in places near and far. Throughout their years together, Karen and Joe also shared their home with several beloved dogs, most recently Carter and Dulcie.
Karen is survived by her loving husband Joseph, her devoted daughters Andrea (Jay) Menadue and Jennifer Meucci, and her cherished grandchildren Emmaline and Mason. Karen is also survived by her sister-in-law Ann Johnston (Gregory), her brother-in-law Paul Meucci, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and their children.
Karen deeply loved and regarded her mother-in-law Helen Meucci and father-in-law Gabriel Meucci as her own parents; both preceded her in death, along with her sister-in-law Gail Meucci Turner (Steve) and her sister-in-law Renee Meucci.
A visitation in Georgia for Karen will be Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 4:oo PM to 8:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 1815 Blackwell Road, Marietta, Georgia.
Karen’s family will receive friends for calling hours on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 4-7pm, at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29, 2025, 10 a.m., meeting directly at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 673 Ellington Rd., South Windsor. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to a pancreatic cancer research organization.
Karen will be remembered for her unwavering love of family, her generous heart, and the beautiful life she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
