Katherine McCray, resident of Acworth, Georgia, passed on April 22, 2026. She was born in Cobb County, Georgia to Colquit Brookshire and Mary Cathrine New. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.Katherine was preceded in death by her parents Colquit and Mary Katherine; her husband, James Edward McCray; granddaughters, Kimberly Hope Maynard, Amy Michelle Roland, and many brothers and sisters.She is survived by her daughter, Shelia McCray, of Acworth; grandsons, Eric Northcutt and his wife Adrian, Paul McCray and his wife Terri, Jeremy McCray; great grandchildren, Katelyn Maynard, Amanda and Brandy Nichols, Cierra Roland, Wesley McCray, James Allen McCray, Maddie McCray and Evan Riley Northcutt; and many nieces and nephews.
