

Born on January 24, 1968, in Ventura, California, Kris was raised in Oak Cliff, a suburb of Dallas, Texas. She graduated from Bishop Dunne Catholic School, where she proudly participated in the marching band, playing both the flute and piccolo.
Kris found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved gardening, antiquing, cooking, and music. A devoted fan of Georgia Bulldogs, she could often be found proudly wearing clothing or jewelry representing her beloved team.
Above all else, Kris treasured time spent with her family. Her favorite moments were those shared with her husband, daughter, and loved ones. Family meant everything to her, and in her later years she was blessed to be surrounded by those she loved most.
Kris dedicated more than 30 years of service to Curtis 1000. She later continued her career serving the community through the City of Woodstock, where she worked for seven years in permitting and licensing.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aaron Lafayette Powell and Annie Louise Powell.
Kris is survived by her devoted husband of 42 years, Roy H. Arnold; her beloved daughter, Danielle Nicole Arnold, and Danielle’s husband, Andrew; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends whose lives she touched with kindness and love.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, Georgia. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM in the chapel at Woodstock Funeral Home.
Kris will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Cherokee Memorial Park, 120 Memorial Drive, Canton, Georgia.
Her love, warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion to family will be remembered always, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
