If I only had five minutes the day you passed away,
I would have had time to tell you all the things I needed to say.

I never got to tell you how much you meant to me,
Or that you were my baby brother who I wanted with me.

The last time that I talked to you
I wish I would have known.
I would have said I love you,
and kept you on the phone.

If I only had five minutes, 
the morning you passed away,
I'd give you a hug so tight and hope to see you smile.
I'd kiss your cheek and take your hand and tell you it's okay to go
And tell you that I'll miss you,
more than you'll ever know.

But you were gone so quickly,
Before you even knew it, 
you were standing at heavens gate.
Now God has called upon you,
It's time to get your wings.
To leave this life behind you,
And enjoy all of heavens beautiful things.

So wait for me in heaven little brother,
Don't let me come alone.
The day the Angels come for me,
Please be there to bring me Home.





Dear brother Kurt, 

I am sorry that I cannot be at your service and celebrate your "Coming Home"â€¦..if only I could. 

I remember you as a little blonde-haired boy with the prettiest eyes that I had ever seen.  I remember when we moved to the Country and you would take a jar and catch tadpolesâ€¦.for the first time.  You wanted to hold them and see how "squishy" they wereâ€¦and of course I ran in the other direction!

I remember your love for the outdoors and spending time in the woods with all of God's creationsâ€¦.the dogs running behind you closely until you would disappear for a while always coming back home with a story of what you saw.  

As a young man, you had some very great friends that you always spent time with enjoying our little town atmosphere and all it had to offerâ€¦from the creeks, to the lakes and to the Parks, to the hunting, and fishingâ€¦.you seemed to take it all in.  

I remember playing hide and seek in the woods and being scared all the whileâ€¦.of family get togethers and weenie roastsâ€¦of scary stories and catching firefliesâ€¦of seeing you hold a baby bird in your hands, or bringing a snake home for everyone to see how beautiful it was!  This of course, I observed from a very long distance.

I know that life had some twists and turns probably more than you would have liked, but I know that along the wayâ€¦family always reached out in love to youâ€¦.and I know you are now looking down on them with the love and concern that was at times difficult to show, but always there. 

Know that your family loved you and that I know that I will see that wonderful blonde haired brother again one day with his big smile and his hands waving me to hurry up and come be with him, Grandma Sippy, Mom, Dad and Dennis. 

I know you are in the arms of Angels and the Love of God. 

I love you little brother,
