It’s been 2 years and you are often thought about. We miss you Larry!

I remember when I was in 7th or 8th grade Larry and i went hunting with our bows and arrows in the old Closter dumps (on Ruckman Road where the present fire house is). We were hunting for mice or rats. We shot and killed a few mice. I think I lost an arrow in that escapade. I never got the hunting desire. Sounds like Larry graduated to larger and more profitable & tastier animals.

Your Dad was a great guy who always had a kind word , & a great sense of humor 

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be morning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. 

Juan never met Larry, I have told Juan many stories about him, us, and everything he had his hands in! there are so many! She would have adored him! 

Bob and Larry were old partners in those early entrepreneur days of Larry’s.  

I have known Larry for a long time.  Infact Gabe and Brent grew up together, while living in Highland Pointe.  Brent always considered Gabe’s home as his second home. Larry was someone I really felt fortunate to know.  Although Larry truly missed Christine,  he stayed busy coordinating the construction of the Florida and Kentucky homes.  He always seemed to be on the phone resolving issues with both homes.  I enjoyed going to lunch with Larry,  we would always update each other on the happenings of our children.  Larry will be truly missed…

I will always think of my brother Larry not only for his sense of humor but for the way people felt went around him! I didn’t get to spend much time with him lately but when I was a young kid I sure did! Larry had this unmistakable charm surrounding himself! I looked up to my older brother for being such a go-getter! I think back in my first memory of Larry was when he got injured on my brand spanking new Chibi minibike my dad bought me for a birthday present one year! Larry caught wind of this from Papa Lou (our father) and was waiting in the wings let’s say for the arrival of my birthday present. I remember Larry riding off into the woods and then a half hour later limping back with an unrideable minibike and next day trip to the hospital to remove all the gravel and stones from his hands and arms! 
 We had a nickname that suited him well, “Crazy Legs!” Watch some old videos of Larry playing baseball and you’ll understand the nickname. After he married Christine and started his family he’s settled down and most always I can remember he was working, working, working! Any off time was all about family and once again moving! He seem to be on the move always, in more ways than one. He sure had his hands in everything! I often thought of Larry as an entrepreneur in his younger days when I was young! One day he’s selling coffee, the next day he’s selling Christmas trees, then he’s selling Kenny Rodgers Jeans, it seemed one thing after another. Always on the grind with eyes wide open! He’s certainly was suited well for the work he did as a salesman! The perfect salesman! I remember him struggling to make ends meet, it wasn’t easy to raise his family the way he envisioned but he always kept going. All along the way I sensed this man, my brother would never give up, whatever it was, however difficult the situation , he was going to make it happen! Thank you Larry you are missed in a big way!

We here in Brown County, Illinois want your family to know that we are so sorry for your loss... They were the best neighbors we will ever have.  Larry and Chris were always fun to visit with and share stories of our hunting adventures.   We will miss them a lot.
