

Mr. Edgar Leon Stewart, 74, of Acworth, GA passed away January 18, 2015. Leon was born on November 21, 1941 in Commerce, GA to the late Leo and Julia Stewart. He was a hard worker throughout his life. Leon worked numerous jobs that included truck driving and owning restaurants. His famous scrambled hot dog will be forever missed. He was a devoted and loving father. 11 years ago, Leon gave his life to God and remained a faithful Christian until his passing. He was also very funny and had a way to make everyone around him laugh. Leon is going to be immensely missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Palmer-Stewart and brothers, Daniel and Jimmy Stewart. Leon leaves behind his children, James Stewart (Tammy), David Stewart (Jessica), Sheila Millwood (David), Angela Brown, Paula Lara, Susan Palmer, Missy Volk, Serena Whittaker, and Jerry Palmer, over 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Carey Stewart and sisters, Betty Beck, Midge Mullinax and Diane Smith. A funeral service to honor Leon’s life will be Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 11:00am in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 3:30pm at Jackson Memorial Gardens in Commerce, GA. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm at the funeral home.
