Lynn was a quiet man who found joy in the simple things in life. He loved his grandchildren dearly, and they held a very special place in his heart. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, stopping by Waffle House, Martins, and The Varsity, and taking rides to Ellijay, Georgia, simply because he could. Those who knew Lynn will also remember his love of CB radio, which was a very big part of his life. To many, he was known by his CB handle, “Grey Ghost.”
Lynn was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eva “Pee Wee” Marie Waugh.
He is survived by his children, Danielle Waugh, Junior Waugh, and Sam Waugh (Tess); his grandchildren, Tate Waugh, Delilah Waugh, Alexander Waugh, Laila Chellis, Audrey Waugh, and Alyssa Waugh; his brother, Don Richard Manpel (Judy); his sister, Rhonda Robinson (Mike); sisters-in-law Catherine Agnew (Stephen), Dale Brown (Debbie), William “Buddy” Brown (Leann), Christa Valido (Aygie), and Deirdre Facente (Trae); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lynn will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. His quiet presence, his love for his grandchildren, his familiar voice on the CB, and his “Grey Ghost” calls will remain cherished memories for those who loved him.
