Leroy Riley

Mr. Leroy Samuel Riley age 81 of Woodstock departed this life Thursday November 30, 2022, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Sam was born in Hartsville, SC to his parents, Leroy and Mary Ellis Riley. Sam met the love of his life while working in a restaurant/grocery store combo over 60 years ago and together they enjoyed life to the fullest, always cherishing each others companionship. Sam loved to hunt, fish, and repair computers. Mr. Riley worked for Sonoco Products Company where he retired after 36 years of service. Sam also was active in the Baptist church where he worked the sound board, was a Sunday school teacher, and served as a Deacon. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Mary Ellis Riley, his son Andy Riley, son- in-law, Carlton Trout and brothers, Johnnie, Manuel and David Riley.

Survivors include his loving wife Jean Riley, children, Timothy Riley (Shaun), Richard Riley (Nancy) and Jill Trout; sister-in-law, Paulette Riley, grandchildren, Priscilla Venable, Jonathan Tillery, Justin Tillery, Michelle Hollcroft, Tony Reavis, Rocki Jones, Matthew Riley, Nathan Riley, Chelsea Trout, Jake Trout and Josh Trout as well as several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Leroy Samuel Riley will be Saturday December 3, 2022, at 2 PM in the chapel of Poole Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 PM until the service hour. Internment will follow in the Rolling Hills Memory Gardens.
